Hivepoint
Self-managed HOA ops from DryDev — Board Edition from $1,500/yr, Community Edition from $2,000/yr, with dues, violations, and optional resident portal.
Hivepoint is HOA management software from DryDev Professional Services (Lawrenceville, Georgia) aimed at self-managed volunteer boards — not property-management companies. The public pitch is one place for dues and aging, violations and ARC, documents, board meeting/election tooling, and financial reports, with an optional resident-facing portal so homeowners can pay dues, pull documents, and submit requests without calling the treasurer. The vendor positions the product between spreadsheet DIY and CAM enterprise suites, and says it is purpose-built for a single community managing itself.
Two editions share the same platform. Board Edition is the Windows desktop board app: dues and assessment tracking, payment history and aging, violations and ARC, document library, financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), full audit trail, and a dedicated / isolated database per HOA. Community Edition adds everything in Board plus a resident portal at the HOA’s own domain (HOA branding, not Hivepoint’s), online dues payment via Stripe, resident document access, announcements and events, online ARC submission, an AI-powered CC&R assistant, and optional SMS via bring-your-own Twilio (vendor cites roughly $0–50/yr for most HOAs with no DryDev surcharge). Live demos (board + sample Maplewood Heights resident portal) are offered without a login; onboarding is personal — DryDev provisions the database, imports lot/owner data, and walks the board through go-live, typically within about a week.
Pricing on hivepoint.app/pricing (researched September 23, 2026) publishes annual minimums: Board Edition from $1,500/year, Community Edition from $2,000/year, described as per-home rate × lot count with those floors. The exact $/home rate is not printed as a static table — the on-page estimator notes estimates may differ and a contact quote is the binding number. A founding offer locks 25% off permanently for the first five communities (vendor said 4 of 5 spots remaining). Annual billing is recommended; monthly via credit card is mentioned (contact for details); ACH and check are accepted for annual invoices. Year-one Stripe dues-collection setup is free on annual plans. Trial/refund framing: 30-day guided trial for qualifying communities; 30-day money-back if you have not yet gone live; cancel with 60 days’ written notice before renewal and no early-termination fee. On payment processing, DryDev’s dues page cites ACH with no processing fee to the homeowner and cards typically 2.9% + $0.30 (board may pass through or absorb). The pricing page also says the subscription includes “no per-transaction fees” — read that as SaaS, not a promise that Stripe is free. Important ambiguity: other DryDev/Hivepoint pages market “priced per community / flat rate, not per unit” while the pricing page says per-home — get the formula and dollars in writing before a board vote.
On books, Hivepoint is mixed / treasurer-desk, not CAM fund accounting. The dues ledger feeds P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and aging; expenses can be logged with receipts; reserve tracking is mentioned in marketing. The vendor is explicit about what it does not do: bank reconciliation, payroll, and issuing checks/ACH to vendors. Many boards are expected to keep a CPA (and optionally QuickBooks) for year-end and tax work, with PDF/CSV export for the handoff. Full data export on cancel is promised (no export fee called out on the security page).
Honest fit check: who it is for — a self-managed SFH/condo board roughly in the vendor’s 30–200 home sweet spot (About also frames 20–500), willing to run a Windows board app, that wants founder-level onboarding and a dues-through-violations suite with an optional branded portal. Who should keep looking — professional CAM portfolios (Hivepoint says it is not for companies managing many HOAs), Mac-only boards that will not run Windows, associations that need peer-proven maturity or CPA-grade fund accounting as the primary buy reason, and anyone who will not proceed without a static public rate card. No usable G2/Capterra product page or star ratings turned up in this research pass; the About page asks for Google reviews instead. Same aisle: PayHOA, KindHOA, RunHOA, DuesBoard, Stewardly, HomeHerald, HOA Start, and AffordableHOA. Start from self-managed boards and accounting / reserve if you are still narrowing.

Best for
Self-managed volunteer boards roughly in the 30–200 home range that want founder-supported onboarding, dues/violations/docs plus optional branded resident portal, and can live with a Windows board app plus early-product maturity.
Pricing notes
Official hivepoint.app/pricing (researched Sep 23, 2026) — Board Edition annual minimum $1,500/yr; Community Edition annual minimum $2,000/yr. Vendor describes pricing as per-home rate × lot count with those floors as the minimum; the exact $/home rate is not printed as a static figure — slider estimates note that your exact quote may differ and contact is required for a binding number. Founding program: first 5 communities get a permanent 25% discount (vendor said 4 of 5 spots remaining). Annual billing recommended; monthly billing via credit card is mentioned (contact for details); ACH/check accepted for annual invoices. 30-day guided trial for qualifying communities; 30-day money-back if not yet live; cancel with 60 days’ written notice before renewal (no early termination fees). Setup/onboarding included. Year-1 Stripe dues-collection setup free on annual plans. Community Edition online payments via Stripe — DryDev dues page cites ACH with no processing fee to the homeowner and cards typically 2.9% + $0.30 (board may pass through or absorb); pricing page also claims “no per-transaction fees” for the SaaS — treat Stripe pass-through as separate from subscription. SMS is BYOT Twilio (~$0–50/yr typical; no DryDev surcharge). Conflicting marketing copy elsewhere says “per community / flat rate, not per unit” — confirm the live formula and binding quote before a board vote.
